Last Thursday I replied to a post from levelsio without really thinking about it.
Took me twenty seconds.
460 likes. 43,000 views.
The reply started getting likes.
Then levels asked if I could make it.
So I stayed up until 5am and made it.
canivibecodeit.com went live five hours after that reply.
Four days after that it has made $8,772.
£6,521 ~= $8,772
The idea was sat in public the whole time.
43,000 people saw it.
Hundreds of them told me it was good.
levelsio himself asked out loud for someone to build it.
Nobody did.
And I've been on the other side of this.
Back in November, Marc Lou saw a levelsio tweet about fake MRR screenshots and shipped TrustMRR the next day. It's at $44k/month now.
I watched that happen live, thought "I could build that," and closed the tab.
Same skills, same tweet on my screen.
I just didn't move.
So, steal this.
Post the idea before you build it. My reply was the market research.
Ship inside 24 hours. v1 was ugly. Nobody cared.
Quote tweet whoever endorsed it. Levels' reply to me is at 227,000 views now because I quoted it in the launch post. That's why strangers trusted a site that was five hours old.
Sell before you're ready. People were DMing to sponsor it before sponsorship existed, so I built that page the same afternoon.
Raise the price every time. First slot went for $299. I posted each sale as it happened and put the price up after every one. The tenth went for $1,499.
Five moves, none of them particularly clever (if I say so myself).
The only hard part was staying up (my WHOOP was not very happy the next day).
The traffic hasn't dropped either, so all ten slots sold out and September is already filling up.
Not bad for a reply I nearly didn't send :D
