Why being honest is the best way to grow your brand
It's not all about sharing the wins. Most of us fail before we succeed. So start being honest about the struggle and watch your brand grow.
“I earned $100,000 last month”
“Here’s how you can earn $5,000/week starting today”
The internet is awash with these kinds of stories and claims.
But the reality is: most of us are struggling.
And that’s okay.
We’re in it together
Anyone who’s ever succeeded will tell you this:
“You have to fail countless times before you win”
Take Pieter Levels for example.

The “grandfather of indie hacking” has a mere 5% success rate
Despite knowing this, it’s easy to get overwhelmed and beaten down by seeing everyone else succeeding while you’re not.
Play to your advantage
If you’ve not yet hit gold, here’s your advantage:
Neither have most other people!
So, if you talk openly and honestly about your struggles (it’s not easy at first), your story will resonate far and wide.
Since there are a lot of people who will relate.
I did exactly this on Tuesday, and it went viral:

I got 145,000 views and over 800 new followers from this post alone
Vulnerability sells.
But don’t get it confused with whining or complaining.
Talking honestly about what you’ve been working on, your real results, what’s not working, and what you’re trying to do to make it work is inspiring.
And it’s even more inspiring if you can document your journey from struggle to success.
That’s what I’m doing!
Why don’t you join me in doing it too?
